Strength and Beauty

One of the most rewarding aspects of having a Boudoir Photography Studio in Salt Lake City, Utah is that I get to meet some of the strongest and most amazing women in the world. Ms. R is a great example of that! 

A true warrior, Ms. R enlisted to serve her country as a young woman.“I joined the military when I was 18” Ms. R shared, “Actually right after September 11th happened. [...] Then I met my boyfriend while I was learning a language and I eventually moved out to Hawaii” She’s got to serve her country, travel the world and start a family of her own. Somewhere along the line she started feeling a bit disconnected from her femininity. 

“Having kids makes you feel feminine because we're the only ones that can do it. But at the same time, it's like it just takes so much out of you  I just wanted to feel better about myself.” She needed something to help her get out of her comfort zone, and when she noticed the facebook post from our studio she jumped at the opportunity.

“I had to force myself to get out of that comfort zone, especially wearing something like this in front of other people.” Boudoir is a journey into vulnerability, and our studio provides a safe space for anyone to explore it... And that she did! She came in, showed up and rocked her shoot!

It was a privilege and a great time being able to create such beautiful images with Ms. R and I hope we get to work together soon!
