Busting Excuses!

Why You Deserve a Boudoir Experience!
We make excuses when we are nervous. We make excuses for not loving or caring for ourselves. Sometimes life is just too busy, we're too busy at work, or we have to drive someone SOMEWHERE all the time. Spending time with our spouse is sometimes more important. We also make excuses such as "I need to lose 15 pounds first!" and "I just don't have the money right now!" I wanted to write this to show everyone that no matter what your excuse is, you CAN DO IT! Let me show you that no matter what your excuse is, you are deserving of self-love!
Excuse #1: “I don’t have the time!”
It's important to remember that if you're not taking care of yourself mentally, you won't be able to take care of everyone else, which sounds obvious but is actually much more difficult to do! I am sometimes the WORST at making sure that I'm taking mental health breaks, which is why I think it's so important to share this with you all. I make the same excuses as everyone, and every now and then I need someone to look me in the eyes and say, "SLOW DOWN." "Give yourself a break, take a deep breath for a minute!"
During a boudoir shoot, you can breathe for a few hours, and take time to love yourself. Consider how much energy you will save on a daily basis if you stop comparing yourself to others. or stop worrying about what other people think of your appearance. You get to see where your true beauty comes from, and this lifts a tremendous amount of mental weight.
You need to take some time for yourself; why not spend it having fun and getting glammed up for a change?
Excuse #2: “I’m not where I want to be weight-wise!” / “I don’t fit in the media’s idea of good enough size!”
Did you know that the body type portrayed in advertisements as an ideal is naturally possessed by only 5% of American females? FIVE PERCENTAGE.
I'll say it again (and again, and again), WHY do you have to be a certain size to LOVE yourself?" WHY do you have to conform to a stranger's distorted idea of a perfect body in order to love your own? WHY are you comparing your size to that of others, when no two women are alike?
I think it's fantastic to have goals and a desire to get healthy. But does that mean you have to despise your body in order to do those things? Certainly not! Every step of the way, you should love yourself. Be proud of where you are in order to be proud of where you are going. Have a boudoir shoot to commemorate where you are now, and then another when you lose the 15 pounds to commemorate how far you've come!
Excuse #3: “I don’t feel sexy or sensual anymore, so a boudoir shoot must not be for me!”
WRONG.
This is the EXACT reason you SHOULD have a boudoir shoot.
When life gets hectic due to health/kids/work, it's easy to lose touch with our femininity or sexiness. It happens frequently, and it is perfectly normal and acceptable! A boudoir shoot can help us rediscover this side of ourselves. I can show you that you have that somewhere inside you, and it might even spark a spark between you and your spouse!
Another thing to keep in mind is that you are not required to wear sexy clothing or lingerie. If you believe that this does not reflect your personality, then there are a ton of other outfit options! If you're looking for inspiration, I’ll be happy to speak with you about them.
Excuse #4: “A Boudoir Shoot is an investment, and I don’t have the money right now!”
Yes. A boudoir shoot IS a financial investment, a financial investment in yourself. You’re investing in your well-being and self-esteem! The session fee is due at the time of booking, but after that, we can set up your payment plan for the remainder so that you can book a shoot with ease! If you have any questions about our payment plans, please send us an email while we are scheduling your shoot!
